Captain's Message - 7th June 2024

As summer approaches, we are gearing up for an exciting season filled with remarkable sporting events. With the Euros, the Olympics, and The Open at Royal Troon all taking place, there’s much to look forward to. At Kirkintilloch Golf Club, we are delighted to enhance your enjoyment by hosting a series of special clubhouse events, ensuring that our members can experience these major spectacles together.

A special thank you goes to Graeme and his outstanding greenkeeping team. Their relentless hard work, even amidst record rainfall, has kept our course in pristine condition. Their dedication allowed us to host a highly successful Seniors Open in May, showcasing our club's excellence. And we continue to receive glowing comments about our course and especially the greens which must be amongst the best in the area. Please bring your friends to experience this.

We are grateful for your understanding regarding the recent private functions that will have somewhat limited members access to the lounge. As you will know, the income generated from these functions plays a vital role in generating the necessary revenue to support the ongoing financial sustainability and future growth of our club.

As always, I value your feedback and am committed to continuously improving your experience at Kirkintilloch Golf Club. Here’s to a fantastic summer filled with great golf, and hopefully good weather.

Please remember this is your course so when required, shout fore, repair pitch marks, replace divots and rake your bunkers. If you don’t, who will? Please note there will be a course ranger on the course from this Saturday.
